Go Green: Breastfeed for a healthy Baby, Mama, World

Support the Green Movement by encouraging mothers and mothers-to-be to breastfeed their infants and toddlers. Breastfeeding is the healthiest food, benefiting not only mother and child, but also the Earth.

Breast milk is the perfect renewable resource: nutritious, green, economical and convenient!  Consider the costs to the environment made by manufacturing, packaging, transporting, and marketing of artificial baby milk—no contest, breastfeeding wins!

The American Academy of Pediatrics states “that exclusive breastfeeding is sufficient to support optimal growth and development for approximately the first 6 months of life...,” and encourages “continuing to breastfeed for at least the first year of life and beyond...” Exclusive breastfeeding can drastically reduce costs by eliminating the need for bottles, nipples, cans of formula, and other supplies, thus resulting in less waste and pollution-production.

I believe in the life-sustaining powers of breast milk stating.  Breastfeeding saves lives while protecting the environment!
